Lambert High School is a great school, but far from perfect. Students had all of the best access to various levels of education (core/elective, AP/Honors/on-level), college admissions information, and counseling. Teachers put a lot of effort into their coursework and quite clearly loved their job. Even though graduating class sizes are near 800 per class, students who made an effort to have a personalized experience were able to have such. Teachers, coaches, and students have a lot of passion and “Longhorn Pride”. The athletics are often very hyped up, and attending the games very popular among students. A plethora of clubs and organizations allows students to find their group and identity. The only bad thing I have to say about Lambert is that many students get swept under the rug. Students who do not make an effort to be heard by peers or teachers are often forgotten or silenced. Nonetheless, the time I have spent at Lambert is unbeatable.

I started high school at a different school, and Lambert is by far the best! I feel more prepared for college and I've enjoyed the last couple of years here. The administration gives us flexibility and, for the most part, respect. The counseling department needs to be more helpful in college prep, but other than that, I think it's a great school!
Because of the location, Lambert high school's diversity is much higher than the schools around it which can either make students more comfortable with each other or more discriminating. If you plan on enrolling in any fine arts classes, I discourage participating in band if you do not have 300-1200$ to spend on a yearly membership fee. The money is used to fund music programs not everyone within the band participates in, such as drumline and Colorguard. The band directors who taught at Lambert during my time there also tended to favor the marching band members much more than regular members to the point where very talented students would be placed in lower level bands compared to marching band students who could not play a scale. The orchestra, theatre, and art classes are fantastic. As a Lambert alum, I highly encourage that if you want to be enrolled in a fine arts pathway at Lambert high school you should consider those three before considering band.
