My experience at Lamar has been great. I have built relationships with my teachers, made a lot of friends, and I have learned so much. One of my favorite things about Lamar is how caring the teachers are. They hold you accountable and they are easy to build relationships with. We have an amazing administration and the best Principal in the world. VFND!

I really do enjoy the diversity of Lamar and how everyone tries to be involved I appreciate the environment of Lamar, it makes you feel like it’s somewhere where you can be safe and have a family. For example the traditions and football games and homecoming spirit that really uplifts the student from the stress of classes. Being apart of the drill team at Lamar has really opened my eyes to many different groups of people and showed me how diverse Lamar really is and I love it. I also appreciate the help from my counselors and APs when I have a problem they try their best to find a solution and they handle it very well and don’t show any signs of irritation with me or any other students.
My experience at lamar high school is one that I will never forget. With that being said, they helped me morph into the human that I am today. One factor within the school that I will always cherish would be the caring teachers. Whether you needed help mentally or in regards to school, the teachers at lamar never hesitate to be of use. Something that I feel like needs to be worked on would have to be informing more kids about the correct steps to take in order to go to college/out into the real world. Most kids are going out with a blind eye, ready to take on whatever is thrown at them. Although that is brave and respected, I feel as if they should at least get some guidance for after-high school.
