Lakewood High School contains a diverse community of students and faculty. Some of my peers say that the food isn't the best, but it is okay for being school food. They have a swimming pool and 2 gyms. LHS has wheelchair accessibility and the teachers there are great! Another thing Lakewood high school has are various different clubs and different classes. Our counselors are very hands on and will come talk to you about how ready you are for college. Overall, Lakewood High School is great but they could improve on the food quality.

The international bachlorrete program at lakewood is fantastic! The teachers know what they're doing and they prepare very college ready students, although the work load isn't for every child. Despite the IB program being amazing the regular classes tend to be on the lesser side with less motivated teachers and not enough opportunities for individual improvement. Altogether the school has a great community of kids and is very successful for a public school in its location.
Lakewood High School offers small learning communities for students to learn certain studies of what best suits them and rigorous AP (advanced placement) classes for a better chance of getting accepted to universities. Moreover, Students take advantage of all Lakewood High School's educational and extracurricular opportunities such as the AP Capstone program where students prepare for college using collaboration skills along with writing abilities for essays, block schedule to encourage students to take advantage of classes to fulfill the A-G requirements which can lead to a four-year university, and activities such as clubs and sports which Lakewood High School is known to be the best at Volleyball, wrestling, and baseball. Although this is like every high school, Lakewood High School gave me the chance to build on communication skills with other students, improvements in my studies, and memorable years to remember.
