Lakeville South High School in Lakeville, Minnesota has excellent teachers and a wonderful student environment for Science, Engineering, Technology Math and strong music and liberal arts classes learning, and extracurriculars!
Teachers are passionate about seeing their students succeed. They are so great about sharing moments of pride they see within your child – their good behaviors and achievements; and they know the importance of getting the parents involved should an issue arise, and do it in a very respectful, approachable manner.

The music program is fantastic, and so is its director. The marching band in particular has improved exponentially since its inception and consistently wins high-level competition awards. Academics are good if you're in AP classes - a lot of the teachers there are willing to help, and AP students usually stick together since they're in the same/similar classes throughout all four years. I'd also recommend the theater program. Overall, the food leaves something to be desired, but the location and building itself are above average.
I enjoy the culture we have at the school. It's a pretty well kept and well maintained school. The staff are mostly friendly and caring and seem to enjoy what they do. Over the years, I feel that the environment has shifted a little. Rules aren't enforced as well as they were before and many students are less respectful and caring of the setting, leading to vandalism or other activities that damage the school environment. Overall, I enjoy attending this school for the most part, but it can improve on enforcing its rules and helping students feel like they are a part of the community.
