Lakeville North High School Reviews
Rating 3.95 out of 5 312 reviews
I have attended Lakeville North High School since 2017, and I am currently a senior there. Overall, my experience has been great. The majority of teachers are very connected with their students and their subjects. Athletics there are awesome as well, and there are a ton of different clubs and groups that you can join!
This school is typical of any public high school. Excelling in things such as athletics and scholarship opportunities, but still lacking on a unified community with everyone in the school. With the 30+ class sizes and disappointing teacher to student ratio, some students lack the one on one attention they need. Of no fault to the teachers, there are too many students in each classroom. Either a renovation with new classrooms needs to be added, or more numerous class periods with overlapping graduation requirements. For example, advanced classes that cover the needed materials for graduation, like PLTW BioMedical program, based off of the years taken, could cover the graduation requirements for biology, chemistry, and general physics if the curriculum was tweaked. This allowing fewer students in those required classes and more in class experience for Pre-Medical based students.
There is a variety of activities to choose from as well as academic opportunities. The athletics is outstanding, although it could be more diverse and non-discriminatory.
