Overall, I enjoyed my time at Lakeview and believe it was worth going to, at least over other KUSD high schools. In general, the academics, students, and teachers have higher standards than other schools, leading to a more competitive and productive learning environment.
While the academics are stellar, there are a few drawbacks that come from going to Lakeview.
These include:
- Weaker School spirit than a typical high school
-Absence of sports teams
-Less social environment
-fewer AP courses that can be taken
Aside from these drawbacks, I'm glad that I attended Lakeview and I believe it's a school that bests prepares students for their future.

Lakeview Technology Academy is a choice school located in pleasant prairie WI. It has 3 tracks that students can choose from Engineering, Biomedical and Computer/IT Technology. It's a good place for students to learn and have first-hand experience in careers of their choice so they can decide if it's the right choice for them. There are clubs that students can be part of that further nurtures their interests and provides a learning environment for them to thrive no matter what background they come from.
The school may be smaller, but there are large opportunities. If you want to pursue a career with engineering, IT, or Biology, this is the school for you. The teachers are all great and care about the well being and success of the students. Each trek that students get to choose provide various resources that give hands on experience no other local school is able to provide. Since the school is smaller than most, it is able to provide a tighter community and better relationships with teachers, however as such the hallways can get cramped during passing time. Overall a great school that prepares students for a bright future.
