At Lakeside Lutheran High School, you do receive an excellent education. If a student puts in their full effort, they will be rewarded. I have enjoyed my time at high school because they have so many opportunities beyond just sports. Their forensics team goes to state every year and their plays are always amazing. The teachers are amazing and want you to succeed. They try to get to know all their students personally.
However, the dress code is extremely sexist. Many girls are dress coded for their bralettes showing or their shoulders. If you are a star athlete, you are treated like a prince/princess. The administration end is not good. They target students that are not in "the right crowd." Our lunch is 18 minutes long. We all scarf down our food and if you take hot lunch, you wait in line for 10 minutes and have to eat even faster. AP classes are not weighted. They charge you $50 to change your schedule even if it was the school's fault with their scheduling.

I almost never miss school and the reason is for the principals usual saying of "greetings" in the morning. The principal is the sweetest and most caring guy you will ever meet. I feel like I could write a 10 page paper on how amazing he is. Everyday he will compliment and make your day just a little bit better.

Although he is not the only good thing at Lakeside. This school cares very deeply on quality education, that will prepare you for college. As far as I know none of the public schools in my area actually teach about doing your taxes. We watched Dave Ramsey in financial lit and I honestly wished we could have seen it sooner. His videos offer so many great tips for saving money on college.

The only thing I would have to complain about is the food. Most of my friends don't care for it or say that it's bland. If I could suggest anything it would be giving us some salt and pepper on the nearby tables.
This was the greatest high school I could have asked for. There is a great Christian community. Teachers are understanding and encouraging. Academics is of a very high quality. The only thing I would change is to add more AP classes and clubs, but I do believe that the school is making an effort to add to these. Most of the athletic programs are great, and the atmosphere is so safe and welcoming.
