The community surrounding the school is amazing. The teachers are great, and no matter what courses you take, you’ll receive a good understanding of the concepts. Sports-wise, the coaches are great, and have recently led the XC and Track teams to multiple State championships. The opportunities for advanced and AP courses could be better, but there’s still quite a few available for students hoping to push themselves. College-prep is okay at Lakeside, not as involved as I would like, but enough for most students. Altogether, the events at Lakeside and the spirit surrounding the school are really what make it shine: homecoming in the fall, assemblies and spirit weeks throughout the year, and sports events against our rivals all really bring out the Eagle Pride in every student who participates.

First of all, Lakeside is a small school of roughly 500 students, so you know everyone! This is a very great thing because you know everyone and you mend very close relationships that will last a long time. The school building itself is not so good. The people who made the plans shaped it as an "eagle" because that's our mascot...which in the long run wasn't beneficial to the student. We average at least 19 corners to a class, We have at least 6 unattended entries to our school which makes it very unsafe. Ou appliances are in need of updating like the school. We tried to pass a bond to get a new school, but not enough people voted yes. Besides that set back, I love the environment to students and teachers make for us to enjoy our time in high school.
Everyone here is fantastic. All of the teachers are very caring about their students' success and their health. The administration consists of some of the hardest-working individuals I've met, who are very welcoming and very capable in their roles. Academics are as good as they can be for a 1A school, which is VERY GOOD. Student Life is very fun and active, but only if your child chooses to be. This school is very sports-oriented, but it does recognize those who do not play sports and take part in clubs and groups.
One cannot complain about problems about this school, since they are present in the other NEA schools. Lakeside's location is perfect: just outside Spokane.
This school will not do your child wrong. Even if it does, the staff will work actively to help fix it.
