My academic experience at Lakeside was alright! I wouldn't recommend taking standard classes but rather AP classes. It's more about the environment that affected me. The upside is they allow students to use the gender-neutral restroom if they're trans/nonbinary. The downside is using public restrooms isn’t advised. Most people I've asked are quiet or tell me it isn't a good idea besides that this school has good academics, great teachers, an iffy environment, and a lovely campus. The food is also terrible.
I would say that this school has been great. Yes my high school experience wasn’t exactly as normal as it could be due to Covid interrupting my freshman year. I did enjoy my time here, there are a couple of fixes here and there that could benefit the next generations. For example a better system on keeping children in check, many of the students have been slacking off recently and there should be a system incorporated to help benefit them. Other than that, it’s been a great school year. Also I would encourage more students to have “school spirit”. This generation has lost that school spirit and there should be events to get the excited again.
It's a very good school academically and there's amazing teachers on campus. The staff is amazing and easy to talk to and work with! The only thing our school lacks is school spirit, although we are getting better. I 10/10 recommend going to Lakeside its great!
