Staff is great and very caring, definitely dedicated to their jobs! The academics are amazing and the standards are set very high. There is an amazing band program that allows students to work with people with the same interests as them. The JROTC program is the best program at the school.
Review Lakeside High School
Many things about Lakeside High School are great; many things need change as well. The academics are great and most teachers actually teach. They get to make their own lesson plan and usually don't just go by the book. This makes it easy to understand. One of the worst things at Lakeside is the administration. At my middle school, they sat down with you and talked through your high school years. I recognize that high school is a lot bigger and they don't have as much time but, they don't really do anything. Another recently added rule is the bathroom passes. Now we have to carry a bright yellow/blue pass to the restroom and then bring it back. This is a great way to spread germs. There are positive things such as the actual facility and diversity. The school is kept clean by the hard-working custodians. They're are many different cultures at Lakeside. No one ethnicity or gender is left out of any certain class or club.
Lakeside High School is a great place for young adults to learn and socialize in a respectful manner. The school has strict guidelines that are set in place to prepare student for "life after high school." Although Lakeside has much to offer with academics, the school falls short in allowing teenagers to enjoy the experience of high school. It is a blessing to be shown the correct path to take, but the path that the staff sets the students on are joyless and honestly boring. I have created a liking for the school, however, the bad can sometimes outweigh the good.
