Lakeland Senior High School Reviews

I loved to see the involvement in sports at the school. However, the school should try to promote other activities other than football.
Pretty good school. I've had a few bad experiences but overall I have had a good time while here and I don't have much to complain about.
I enjoy the courses that the school offers, there is a wide variety of academic and elective classes to choose from. Although in my opinion some improvements could be made, some teachers could put in more effort to be more involved or could be moved to teach a better subject or level of a subject. There's a first-year teacher that was assigned to teach an AP class but I understand there might have been an urgency to fill that teaching position.
It’s on the older side because it’s one of the oldest schools in Lakeland, but overall it fit me and I liked it.
I enjoy going here. The teachers are typically very kind and flexible with students, but not all of them. The Science and English departments are great. Some of the teachers, unfortunately, do not thoroughly explain their respective subjects and/or do not try to explain it differently for those who do not understand. A good handful of the teachers also let some of the students get away with things they really shouldn't and it typically involves subtle bullying. On a better note, the lunch ladies are super sweet.
It is an amazing school with wonderful faculty and has allowed me the opportunities to grow into the academic person I am today.
Although no school is perfect, I have had a great experience with LHS. I have had the ability to take the level of classes I have desired, and the teachers I have had have been great.
It is an everybody knows everybody type of school so no matter where you go you would have somebody to talk to. The football and basketball games are fun to go to and there is a lot of school spirit.
This school is very diverse. The teachers are respectable considering the city the school is located in. Sports teams are well-rounded and competitive.
As a senior who was at this school for all 4 years, I think it was pretty decent. This school is connected to Harrison school for the Arts which is where students who get accepted, go and practice/study an artistic discipline. This is the main reason I attended. Lakeland Highschool itself, is a pretty average American Highschool. Our football team is undefeated in the district. Most of my teachers were nice and helpful in class. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience here.
One of the things I love most about LHS is the environment of the school. The teachers in the school will do anything to help you understand a lesson better in their class.
Excellent school. Teachers help students. This school has many after school clubs and activity. Great education.
Education is great and all teachers I have had truly are devoted to their student. They go out of their way to provide for their students. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because there is not lots of safety on campus, and at times I feel nervous attending school. Also the bathrooms are not cared for at all.
What I like about Lakeland Senior High School is that the teachers are there to help you and that everybody is very nice.
When it comes to public schools, Lakeland High School is fairly exceptional. Personally, I'm not the best student, but it does make a different when the teachers have a passion for what they are doing. The teachers I have had created positive and motivational atmospheres to learn in. Yet, the biggest quality that has moved me the most, is the fact that those teachers care more about their students understatement than getting through the curriculum. They still push us, but the well-being of their students are a priority.
What I like about Lakeland Senior High School is that I can meet new people in the classrooms that I'm in during that school year. I also like that I get to sit with people from different cultures and talk with them.
While attending this school, I was immersed in a new environment that taught myself how to better interact with others and the knowledge I need to be prepared for college. The community is friendly for the most part and the systems there are very astute.
