With strong support from the community, I’m proud to be a part of Lakeland High school. Their band program is top notch and the school pushes their students and rewards the ones who really work for it. Compared to other high schools, I’m grateful for Lakeland because of its rich traditions and opportunity. The school is very aware of homeless students and allowing them resources which is extremely important. The only thing I would hope for would be the attention to detail when it comes to students ideas, concerns and setting up a more productive and efficient college success process. Many students these days are struggling when it comes to applying for college or receiving financial aid (such as myself!) and guidance is important in order to create successful students and people of the society. Other than that, there is no other school I’d rather attend than Lakeland Senior High. Go Dreadnaughts!
Being a student at Harrison School for the Arts while also attending Lakeland High School allows me to have access to a regular high school experience, while still pursuing the arts. I get the opportunity to dance on the sidelines every Friday night while cheering on the Dreadnaughts. In the afternoons, I spend my time in the ballet studio perfecting my technique. Attending LHS has been so much fun and I am forever grateful for the clubs, activities, and experiences I have been a part of. Go Naughts!
Lakeland Senior High School was the first public school I had ever went to, with that and the fact that I was coming in sophomore year I was afraid of being left out. The complete opposite ended up happening actually! Everyone was so nice and accepting and the diversity there is amazing! The staff is impeccable and the resource officers go above and beyond for the students! I would definitely recommend going here!
