We recognize the challenge to the LCS community presented by the pandemic. Diligent efforts of us all to comply with the health and safety practices calls each family to be responsible in limiting potential exposure to the virus. The teachers here ENJOY their jobs and therefore are better at teaching! They also have a heart for children and build meaningful relationships that are impactful on the students. Because of the Christian atmosphere promoted here, the students, teachers, and staff all are held to a higher moral and positive standard that is hard to find and expect in other public schools. Lastly, even though the school has a small/family like feel due to the enrollment/capacity size (which is a PLUS), this does not hold the school back from including a wide range of sports, arts, the RISE institute, clubs and many more extracurricular activities for the students.
I had a blast attending Lakeland Christian School! The teachers were very knowledgeable and helpful, and administration was very affective in fostering a conducive learning environment.
One thing I love about Lakeland Christian is the academics. Central Florida is not the best place for public school options, however, this school goes above and beyond the public school standard. One thing I would change is the kindness of the students. I came in 8th grade and most of the people were not welcoming. I believe kindness and decency could be taught by the teachers and demonstrated in the classroom more.
