I have multiple children that attended this school. For my eldest he had a teacher who taught the children to strive for nothing better than mediocrity. To tell a child that a C on a spelling test is a good grade because it was a hard test is completely unacceptable in my opinion. My child walked away thinking that C's were now good grades and only we were expecting better of him. Communication from the teachers to the parents on how the child is doing needs to be drastically improved. The parent should never be shocked when they see fallen grades on a progress report. They should have been notified of the struggles before hand. When a parent calls and is told the child is doing fine only to receive a progress report that says otherwise means their is a communication failure from the teaching and admin staff. As a parent I have dealt with 5 different teachers at this school for my children. Three of the five seemed completely indifferent and uninterested in the children and their success. I do not want to say all of the teachers are bad though and don't truly care about the success of the child though. Our experience with the preschool teacher who handles non-traditional learners in the half day preschool program was amazing. She truly cared about her class and was quick to talk with parents regarding areas of concern of areas the child was excelling in. Our experience with the other teachers was poor enough that we decided to remove our children from this school and pay for private school instead.

My child enrolled in band. We rented his equipment on a 1 year lease through the program the school recommended. In October the band teacher quit. They never replaced the band teacher that year. Not a great experience.
School nurses office is well staffed. School front access area has been outfitted with bullet proof glass and an officer is usually always on campus.
