Lake Weir High School is a great school that is bogged down by the shear size of its students and the difficulty of management. Teachers in this school are proactive with the seniors, guiding them through the neccessary loops in order to further engage students with their career options. I have had time to know that the teachers do care about the students, offering engaging instruction. I have learned easy-to-remember tricks for specific lessons taught in the classroom. Communication is a little shoddy, since Lake Weir can be a little stubborn when it comes down to transportation or information. Communicatoin with the guidance counselors and teachers are relatviely well, but it's not as effective when there are over one-thousand students crammed into six hour instruction times for one class day.

It's a High School that adminsitrally operates as a Middle School and that's its biggest fault. While the school is overall good, I have not truly been engaged with the violet and golden school spirit.
It's okay. That sums about the entirety of my time in this high school.

Teachers and staff are always helpful and supportive of different beliefs, cultures, ethnicities, and learning styles. I have not once run into a bitter instructor. The administration truly wants the best for us- providing timely aid (considering there are only a handful of counselors for over one-thousand students in six-hour blocks, that is impressive). While it was a hassle, I received my schedule in a timely manner, but rescheduling it to fit my needs for the classroom came in a more... troubling fashion. I believe that everyone here works hard, from the adult's perspective. Lake Weir High School is a more laid out and little more run down school compared to the neighboring Forest High School. The workload is okay depending on what your teachers are, and there isn't really too many students crammed into a single classroom, so it is well-staffed.

Overall, it's okay. Just about par for the course.
Hailing from Ocala, Lake Weir High School is a school of multiple backgrounds and acceptance. There are many Hispanics and African Americans that make up the student body. I have run into my fair share of sexually diverse students being themselves. Even the "popular" students do not get involved in much bullying or peer pressure activities. While the school itself may handle itself a little disappointedly, I do find myself surrounded by a relatively great social scene.
