Great academics! They offer lots of unique classes which helps you branch out and find your interest. The teachers and great for the most part. Science department and english departments are top notch. Sports are amazing as well! LT offers lots of sports, all of which have great spirit. The football scene at LT is the most well known, although some of the smaller sports are the ones to really watch for. My favorite part of being an LT student is the community outreach that the school supports such as to our special needs community and volunteering. By being a part of many clubs, I have felt more impactful towards the community.

I moved from a very small school to Lake Travis which was a total culture shock. Moving in the middle of a school year was nerve racking. Everyone already had their "friend groups" and I felt like I didn't belong anywhere. My sophomore and junior year were similar in that I only did what it took to get by, kept my head down, and kept to myself. This year, I decided to make an effort to change. I forced myself to talk to people and ask their names and get to know them, and as it turns out, I love meeting new people! I made friends with people I never thought I would, and I'm very grateful for the turnaround I had at Lake Travis High School.
I moved to Lake Travis High School after my freshman year. I was extremely nervous to be the "new kid" again but it went well! The people are open and friendly, both staff and students, and the facilities are clean and organized. The teachers are amazing. LTHS offers a ton of courses, including college and career prep, which is really nice to have availible. Their 504 program is very well structured and I highly recommend it to those who have special needs. I personally don't participate in any sports at the moment but the athletic talent of this school is incredible and the whole community is very supportive and involved in the extra-curricular programs Lake Travis offers. Go Cavs!
