It was ok not the best school! Kids were snobs but I had friends there! I would change the no phone rule because joy fair to students and they could use it for educational purposes and use them for everything else during lunch would make more sense! I also wish they prepared us more for mcas in reading it was not the best for preparing for mcas! I also wish we had more choices for classes and more classes that would count as high school credit because it could help with standardized test scores. I would prefer WMS or a private school! I also hated how this school was overcrowded. 2015 graduate
As a former student looking back on my experiences at the school, I'd say an overwhelming amount of my memories were positive. The teachers I had were all very nice and they truly did care about my success. The only downside of the school is the group of kids that preach intolerance and spew all sorts of hateful speech -- many of them white, middle- or upper-class boys.
My experience at Lake Middle School was pretty good. Most of the teachers cared about their students and were good at their job. The STEM classes were probably the best but the liberal arts were a little lacking.
