There are many teachers who are there extra hours to help you succeed, and so many extra curricular activities and events they offer for kids to earn volunteer hours or just for fun. The facilities are lacking, just about all of the bathrooms are almost completely trashed by students and are always out of soap. Besides all that i do love it here with all my friends and its great to be a lake mary ram!

I graduated a long time ago, in 2005, after we were redistricted, but before the neighborhoods along the southern portion of Markham Woods Road became part of Lyman's district. I loved LMHS. I learned more in those 4 years than I have ever learned elsewhere and I went to a top 20 university (outside of Florida of course). Mr. DeSanto was wonderful for Physics. Ms. Blackwelder and Ms. Mills killed Social Studies. Ms. Vanlandingham was great for Econ. I strongly disagree with other reviewers who do not rate the teachers well.

Overall though, I had a great time at LMHS. While it was challenging to come to LMHS after being a private school kid my entire life, I learned a lot about other people. High school there well prepared me for college life at an elite university (having to eradicate "be words" in Gifted English I with Ms. Bomar did me wonders) and set me up well in my interpersonal relationships with other people.
I’ve been at Lake Mary for three years, starting as a sophomore. In the beginning weeks of my first year, I witnessed someone throwing another boy in the trash. Of course I intervened and I was cursed at for doing so. Despite that incident, I began to like where I was at, most of the kids are nice and the teachers are good. There is a lot of school spirit which makes it fun sometimes. Overall, I’m glad to be a Ram and I’m proud to say that I’ll be graduating there in 2019!
