Lake Howell High School has the most tremendous teachers, striving to actually teach, where as some teachers just do so since it’s their job. The school has the best safety by including multiple police officers on campus at all times, ensuring the safety of all students and faculty. The academics are great, with options in forensics, physics, marine specific science, and electives like cosmetology, 3D & 2D art, and culinary. The school incorporates as much school spirit as possible with intense pep rallies, hyped football games, and dress up days for students. Lake Howell High School is an amazing school with great success that I will miss dearly after I graduate!

I transferred from hagerty after my first two years so my experience at lake howell high has been absolutely amazing! I feel so much more welcomed here, the diversity within the campus is so interesting, and i’m so involved within the campus and campus community. I think Lake Howell has one of the most spirited campus’ in seminole county and really thrives with school spirit.
Simply-speaking, Lake Howell High School is inadequate. It offers a wide range of AP classes, but employs teachers who don't fulfill the AP standards. For those who are skilled in teaching, their positions always appear to be temporary, as a handful of teachers leave every year. Lake Howell does not offer IB, nor do they offer any other note-worthy academic program. DE is offered, but the school heavily advertises AP classes, and are working towards only allowing DE classes at Lake Howell, not the college campus. So for those seeking a school that prides itself in academics or adequate teaching, there are plenty other Seminole county high schools that provide better resources. Especially in regards to the science department, Lake Howell does not encourage interest in STEM whatsoever. Those who have an interest in science should definitely look elsewhere to expand their intrigue.
Though the theater company and the music departments do well despite poor funding.
