This school is a very high-top type of school. The outside environment is beautiful! The teachers here are very well educated and want the best for your education and future. This school is very diverse and offers very diverse programs to learn about different cultures and perspectives. The classes are very well taught and this school also provides fun activities. It isn't just booked, this school gives you the whole experience. To dances, clubs, sports teams, and other fun things and events. During my years at LFHS, I was able to gain the skills to become a great student and feel well educated. If I would have kids, I would 100% make sure they attend this high school.
I am a current senior at Lake Forest High School. From personal experience the academics are outstanding. They challenge kids by offering honors and ap classes and also provide the traditional classes. Not to mention the incredible athletics which includes different levels of many different sports and also offers intramural teams for fun! For example, I participated in intramural basketball with some friends and it was a great was to meet new people and get some exercise. Additionally, LFHS provides hundreds of clubs and activities from student council to environmental club to latin club to yo-yo club they have it all and also allow students to form their own clubs! The school is very up to date and safe for all students and teachers and makes sure all students have access to the facilities and are ready for college. The one thing I wish to improve is the schools diversity. There is an average amount of diversity but based on the amazing academics, athletics, etc there should be more.
LFHS has been a great atmosphere for learning! The students have many opportunities to engage in learning, and to participate in advanced placement, and group study methods. The day is set up similar to college classes, and expectations are laid out clearly. There are plenty of opportunities for Enrichment of the arts, media, skills, outdoor education, and music.
I wish there was another way of allowing student to participate in more that one sport at the beginning of school. There is only one day to pick a sport. If you don’t make one team, you can’t walk on to another. It would have been nice to have extra curricular sports after school for fun, and a way for students to get to know one another that are not in their “click”
For safety reasons they need to number their rooms properly! If there is an emergency no Emergency Responder would know how to find a room based on a number.
