At Lake Country Lutheran, the high school experience is embodied by the teachers and students alike. The teachers involve every student and get to know each student on a personal level by skipping free periods or lunch to sit down and chat about life. The student body is unique and encouraging and does not miss a beat to lift s fellow student up. The academics are challenging but always grant the opportunity of success if you work hard to achieve it. Athletically, it is extremely competitive as almost every year, an extracurricular activity is competing at the state level. One thing I would change is the variety of classes Lake Country Lutheran offers as it is a smaller school, only about 300 students, and offers all core classes but not a wide variety of others. Overall, my experience has been positive and encourage anyone wanting a education based on faith to pursue this school.

Three things that I love most about Lake Country Lutheran (LCL) are the teachers, academics, and the students. First off, the teachers are amazing. They not only teach their course and material well, they get to know students on a personal level. Secondly, the academics at LCL are great. At LCL you graduate with 50 credits! They offer many AP and honor classes. Also, the grading scale is higher than most schools. Our school still gets higher than average ACT/SAT scores, AP scores, and GPA's. Lastly, the students are great. As a senior I don't know many underclassmen, but I do get many students that will come up to me to say hello even if I've never talked to them before. Also, LCL has many foreign exchange students that attend. The foreign exchange students don't have a problem fitting in and get along great with both students and teachers. LCL keeps improving every year. I would like to see there become more academic opportunities, meaning more classes that students can take.
Lake Country Lutheran has been a great school for me. I was originally planning to go to my local public school when I found out my parents had decided to send me to LCL. I was ecstatic to be staying with my friends from elementary and middle school. Lake Country has taught me a lot about creating bonds with my teachers and trusting them to know what they are doing. Every class I am welcomed with either a hug or a warm smile. This changes the dynamic of a high school. The students can tease and have fun with teachers as well as learn great things. I wouldn’t change my decision for one second. This school is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
