I have grown up here and can't imagine a better education. I feel like I'll be graduating with a fantastic variety of skills from public speaking, to critical reading, analytical thought and useful crafts (woodworking, blacksmithing, sewing). Come here. I strongly believe that it is not only the best education, but produces the kindest and most resourceful students.

Heavy English load, heavy psychology load, heavy math load. heavy music load. Not enough art. One Art project per semester. Extremely good reading list that amazed my college application team. Ability to focus in on one topic and apply that topic to several classes. Classes can be adjusted so that heavy interest in a certain part of learning can be accommodated. International travel to foreign high school is highly encouraged. Students go on to Smith, Brown, Wesleyan, Boston U. with significant scholarships offered.
the high school is moving to a new building in 2013-2014. much more room and next to a museum. There are teachers to help with accommodations so that the student with some dyslexia can perform up to standards. The English classes are hard, writing a paper a night for one class, reading ALOT. but the reading list that was sent to my college was superb (I had had college level reading assignments in HS). There are after school activities from sports to photography clubs, the school includes lots of exercise and outdoor activity in addition to high level of education. You will be very busy. it would be nice if there was more art.
