I liked that Laguna Creek High School is so diverse. Through diversity I was able to better understand other cultures more closely. I thought that it was great that Laguna Creek High School has the IB program that benefits many students, and it helps students get ahead. The teachers at Laguna Creek were always willing to help their students and seemed to truly care! An improvement I would like to see would be the food because it is not very appetizing, and students need to eat a balanced meal to be able to focus and thrive throughout the day.

Laguna Creek High School is the only school in the district that offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. We also have three world languages and many art programs. Our extracurriculars, academies and student government teams are effective in making newcomers welcome and enjoy the cardinal spirit. LCHS is also known to be the most diverse within the district!
I attended Laguna Creek High school located in Elk Grove, CA. Prior to moving to Elk Grove, I was a student at Harper Junior High School in Davis, CA. Attending Laguna Creek was a culture shock for me. Coming from Davis, which has a predominately Caucasian population, I was shocked to see students that were from all around the world. Students that looked like me. I loved the diversity of the school. I got the chance to feel confident in my skin as a young teen adult. The school also offers programs such as AVID and IB. They had a popular soccer, football, and wrestling team. Not to mention, the teachers were very active in making sure every student succeeded. My english class in 10th grade is what led me to choosing English literature as a major. Overall, I think Laguna creek is a great option!
