Ladywood is home to just under 300 girls; girls who I am lucky enough to call my sisters. My experience at Ladyood has been wonderful. I have received a good education that has certainly challenged me, but more importantly, prepared me for the years to come. The atmosphere at this school is quite clear from the minute you walk through the double blue doors: we love each other and we love this school. School spirit is definitely something we take pride in. Shouting the alma mater during pep rally's or sports event is a common occurrence. I would love to see a change in the temperature of our school. Ladywood is like Michigan, you never know what the weather will be like today! Some rooms are piping hot while others you find yourself shivering with goosebumps. I feel all the students would appreciate a more consistent temperature throughout the school, and I believe we would all focus better in a comfortable environment as well.

Coming from a public school, I'm still amazed by the sisterhood at Ladywood. Girls from all types of different backgrounds are all brought together by faith. I was able to discover who I am and grow into the woman I am today. At Ladywood, your education isn't limited to the classes they provide. The possibilities are endless with online classes and dual enrollment to Madonna University and Schoolcraft Community College. I'm proud to be a Ladywood Blazer!
I graduated from Ladywood in the early 1980's, so my experience may be very different from the experience of later students. At that time, the quality of education I received at Ladywood was FAR superior to the education my brothers received at our local public high school. The overall atmosphere was competitive which motivated me to be a better student. And the quality of the teachers was so high that college was actually easier than high school. I have very fond memories of my years there. Particularly the wonderful orchestra/choir concerts we held and the plays and musicals we performed.
