My experience at Lackawanna Trail High School has been very good. The education there is good, I’ve learned so much, it’s challenging, the teachers were all very supportive and helping, the staff over all has been great and very friendly. Overall, I don’t have any complaints with my schooling experience at Lackawanna Trail. There is so many opportunities to do what you want. There were many clubs such as coding clubs, chess clubs, inclusion club, and so much more. They also offer a variety of sports. They also have really good electives such as psychology, sociology, graphics, photo and digital, food class, and so many more. At this school they offer so many different options. This school is a great choice for your child.
Lackawanna Trail feels like one of the biggest mistakes my parents made for me. There are many inherent qualities of a small school, like being a close group setting to mature in, or for building lasting connections with friends. But otherwise, my experience has been just a bonfire of property taxes whose smoke signals are just as useless, unintelligible, and pathetic as those on any Indian reservation today. Actually, the indigenous name is kinda apt considering how uncompetitive their students are in every area I can think of. There are staggeringly few electives and extracurriculars, of which both are dominated by stem and sports respectively. As a humanities student, I am woefully inexperienced to not just a heavy workload, but in my ability to understand college level concepts and ideas. As someone who struggled with depression and anxiety during my high school years, I can chiefly say that the staff are, charitably, illiterate to the universal empathic language.
I have always loved attending this school. Of course there are a handful of teachers that make you reconsider but overall I have enjoyed my high school experience. I will now go into depth of the positive and negative things I have experienced here at Lackawanna Trail Junior Senior High School.
This school doesn't start at 9th grade, it starts in 7th. This makes it existing in this school's environment a little unbearable with immature 13 year olds. There are also a few teachers that will be inconsiderate of your needs and will treat you like a machine rather than a human.
Now that we have covered some negatives, here is a positive. All of the non-educator staff is always very nice, willing to talk, and will help you whenever and however they can.
