La Salle College High School is an all male Catholic high school. Students are not required to be of the Catholic Faith to attend. The school has slightly more than one thousand students and because the school is large, it offers many different courses. My son is interested in computer science and computer science courses are offered at the Freshman through Senior Level. La Salle also offers many courses in information science. The course selection in these areas is much greater than that offered in our local public high school.
Good school with excellent curriculum and teachers. Kind student body with collegial atmosphere in safe environment. Better college counseling is needed -- what was received was too late in high school to have an effect on classes and paths chosen. Students are also "tracked," for example in honors or AP classes and it is difficult to get out of that track. Administration also needs to listen more to parents and students. They are stuck in their ways and do not respond well, or at all, to suggestions or requests for improvement.
