I transferred over to La Puente High School entering my senior year. Since I was a new student, I didn't have much friends. But, the community and diversity at this school is welcoming, encouraging, and calm. The staff and administration are well known all around campus. They involve themselves with the students and try their best to help everyone. The community on campus, after school, or when going to games. The environment was respected of one another and the parents were involved as well. The parents and the community around school were involved in school events and always showed their support.

My experience at La Puente High is good so far. Of course, like any other school there are a couple of ups and downs. Some ups are that we have very helpful teachers that can be seen as caring towards the students. They want every student to succeed and go on to do greater things in life. We are treated well by all the staff and are given respect. There are many activities you can get involved in, such as about more than 20 clubs and about 3 or more sports per season. It is honestly impossible to not at least to be aware of at least one extracurricular activity. The bad is that we are lacking more electives courses to take, access to books at all times, and a pool. Overall, this school is very well ran, but there is still room for improvements.
In my school (La Puente) there are many good things, such as: school spirit, many clubs, many sports, etc. There are many things thatust be changed, starting with saftey. In this school saftey is not one hundered percent garenteed, with drug dealers, as well as the fact that the park is right next to the school and all you have to do is jump the fence to get in. Another thing that must be improved it the resources. The fact that the Liberary has been closed for a year and a half, with no way of students to print things out or to do research without leaving campous.
