My experience with La Joya High School is very good overall. The Mexican culture in La Joya is highly expressive, and the students and teachers are average. The facilities need work considered the restrooms are very disgusting, broken, and stained and need to be adjusted and modified. Also the food is getting better with Doritos being implemented into our diet, although our food still needs some work here and there. Also the education needs some major improvements. I hear all around that the teachers do not even care about their students education, and even AP classes are really easy. Although the good aspect is that they offer Dual Enrollment classes which I take. That is my experience with La Joya.
La Joya High School has a variety of ways to show school spirit, and involve their students. They are greatly involved in spreading suicide awareness, partnering up with the EM3 Foundtion, after the school was deeply affected by it. Students are greatly involved with coming together as a family, no one is alone. La Joya High School has helped their students feel like a there a real family in there school. La Joya High School loves to show school spirit with their pep rallys and with any kind of sport games, students go all out with their football games. Decorating the hall with school spirit and making banners and chants for the games. I'm so happy to be a coyote, gooo coyotes!!
