What I love most about Kurt Hahn is the student to staff relationship. Its a relatively small school so which makes it easier for teachers to work with students one on one, catering to almost every single person's needs. The schools' community is very close-knit and relatively positive. The teachers care about the students and do their best to see that every student is successful. The one downside to this school is that its academic programs are not very rigorous so if you were looking for a school to challenge you academically this might not be the best school for you. Other than academics Kurt Hahn does have some clubs and is always looking to add more. The staff is always listening to the students so if ever you wanted to add something to the schools' community you can be assured that your voice will be heard.
My experience at Kurt Hahn has been great, I have been involved in a few school activities, they provide outside the school opportunities and resources to get involve in the community and the teachers are also great because they do their best to help and encourage us to try new things and to step out of our comfort zone because they want us to achieve the best education and opportunities in life.
Kurt Hahn is different from many other public schools. Regents Exams aren't administrated there. Also they push students to come out of their comfort zone and to display the 5 commitments. Respect, Compassion, Stewardship, Courage, and Perseverance. Although this is good Kurt Hahn is a small school so the class options are limited.
