Kunsmiller has a great arts community. They fully submerge their students in arts from around the world, by performing arts, as well as visual arts. Starn is an amazing dance teacher who dedicates himself entirley to his students and their education, along with their performances. Mr. Brooks is a very gifted band teacher!! They also offer a variety of extra-curricular anywhere from chess to dance clubs. If you're looking for a school dedicated to the arts, would highly recommend Kunsmiller.

As a student who has gone to Kunsmiller for five years, I can say that this school is very inspiring and really brings out some of the best in people. There is a great balance in between the arts and academics. They offer Ap and college classes but also have interesting classes such as audio production, print making, digital media and etc... I would also like to mention that they do always prioritize every students safety above everything. Not only that, but their students’ mental health as well. It’s nice considering it not only a K-12 school, but a public one that merges the arts and academics despite the lack of funding they receive. Although, I would like to say that the school does need to focus a little more on academics in the upcoming years. It is a fairly new school as it turned into a K-12 public school that focuses on art, meaning there is a lot of room for improvement. But to end on a positive note they do also provide a small Denver health clinic inside the building.
There are many teachers at Kunsmiller who are amazing people and care about the kids more than anything, but there are some who dont care about any health issue, hospitalization, or personal issue in the slightest when it comes to day to day courtesy. This isnt exactly a place for good food, but it is much harder when you have a specific thing you can't eat. The high school would eat the same thing every day and no complaint would be heard by administrators. While I may not specifically recommend this school. I can not say that it hasn't done it's fair share of good and bad going on there.
