This is a great small town school with lots of community involvement! The teachers and administrators try to help all of the students to be successful. They seem to really care about our well being. We may not have the best or newest facilities, but we, as student are loved at Kossuth High School.
The academics and class were great. But the social aspect is terrible. Your social status (student adn parent) is what your last name is. There is no diversity
I adore Kossuth because, this is like my second home. I have attended this school my whole life; i feel like being a "Kossuthian" will always be a part of me. One of my most favorite things about this school is how helpful and personal the staff is. i feel like i could tell them anything.
I like the religious aspects they still have, and the school makes you feel like home. I also love how involved they are with the students. We have so many clubs and teams and it encourages diversity in the students. They also offer a lot of different paths to fit for you. I have to personally point out Mrs. Lyles, the guidance counselor, she is the best in the business and will help whenever it is possible. There are also many other teachers and faculty that eager to help and will do so whenever they can. Many facility and staff will give up their own time in order to make sure you understand their lesson or what they have taught. The ladies in the office will also go out of their way to help you find or direct you to the help or what you need, they even eat lunch in the office and help while they are trying to eat. Along with there being many clubs, there are also many volunteering opportunities including: special olympics, library, or office.
Hello, I am a current student at Kossuth High School in North Mississippi. Kossuth is a great school because of the staff and the environment that the students are surrounded by. The school itself is not funded enough which affects the possibilities that could be present, but the school does an excellent job with what is presented to them. The school has great teachers that will help however they can. The school is not greatly diverse, but that is mainly because of the location.
I attended this high school for 12 years. I want there to be more praise on academically minded people rather than sports.
I believe that my experience at Kossuth High School has been a typical experience lived by an average student. All of the teachers have been extremely friendly to me and most of them teach an easy curriculum depending on the amount of study beforehand. Close attention in the English and Mathematics classes helped to prepare me to make a decently high score on my ACT.
I LOVE my school and all they have to offer. Great place to meet friends and get to know people. Having teachers always be there for you and want to see students succeed in your path to college. I have made an enormous amount of memories and friends that I hope to never lose.
Kossuth is a very good school. Ranked number 4 in the state, my peers and myself have consistently produced academic results at the most proficient level. Academics is highly valued, and thanks to incredibly constructive and supportive counseling staff, students are vigorously yearning, not dreading, a university experience.
Kossuth High School was an experience I'll never forget, although I hope I will. Kossuth was filled with an abundant of disrespectful and uneducated teachers, however there were a few worth paying attention to. The school had less than little to offer, but I tried my best to get the most out of it. The school is much more focused on athletics and extracurricular activities than the much more important fundamentals of education. The organizational skills of the staff was definitely lacking. I feel less than prepared for college. The bathrooms of the school were disgusting, of course, this is more of the student bodies fault for the destruction. However the lack of respect for the school is mostly the cause. The school is majorly Caucasian. There is only one counselor for the entire school, this creates a problem for students whom do not feel comfortable with the current counselor.
I am currently a student a Kossuth High School. Sometimes, yes, sports can seem like the primary focus, but academics are the prime focus of most of our teachers here at Kossuth. We have a lot of good organizations and sports. We also have an amazing Spanish program. Wouldn't change it for the world
High School was a breeze and loved every teacher! The academic part of it all is better than most. I would not have chosen another school to attend.
Kossuth High School has been a very pleasant experience for me. The teachers are great and our counselor is wonderful. Our counselor works with the students to make sure that we do our best to get the best education that we can get.
Good extracurricular activities, such as FFA, FBLA, and National Honor Society, but poor focus on class studies. Sports programs are okay.
Overall high school experience has been good. Still have one semester left but overall an ok time. There are some really good teachers and some not so good teachers but I think that is at every school. I was sick throughout my sophomore and junior years but the teachers helped me when I needed it. Since I am a senior this year and there are many things that I need to be aware of the councilor always is open to talk about what needs to be done, and she sends out emails about things that are important. So my overall high school experience has been great.
The teachers there really make it feel like a family. They care about you learning and never let you fall behind. Some of them with make you stay after class to go over the material again just so you know it. Without their helpful hands i dont think i would be the same person as i am.
I am a senior at Kossuth High School and have seen a lot of things change. When I started school here, the administration was not adequate and most of my teachers where a joke, although, my math teacher was excellent. Since then, however, we have had a change in administration and have brought in some new teachers. One of these new teachers has been my physics and chemistry teacher who is more than capable of his job. Overall the school is most certainly not the best, but it has made great improvements.
