Kofa high school is a terrible school. The educators aren't teaching they're only passing students. What matters is the graduation rates, not getting an education The district holds no accountability on anything. This is why there's a decline in AP test scores. This is why there's a GPA decline. The fact that an AP class no longer requires an entrance test shows that we are just trying to push people who aren't ready into challenging classes. It's weakening the competitive edge that the above average students are trying to gain before they go to college. But instead of fixing this, administration is just worried about blowing up the number of students in AP. Also, students aren't required to pass any major tests to graduate. That's why students who can't read or write English are walking the line with people who have strived for perfect grades. Kofa has backwards morals just like every other school in yuma county and it destroys the students who aren't prepared to go to college
Review Kofa High School
Kofa High School is filled with students with pride. The thing I love most is probably the sports. It's where I have met my closest friends. The teachers are absolutely amazing. There are many who love doing their jobs and strive to help out the students. I really love the environment at Kofa, everything is amazing. We're always helping each other. Overall, our security guards are probably the coolest at Kofa High School. Always, looking out for students and giving us advice when we need it. So finally, Kofa High School is an amazing school filled with pride, joy, and outgoing environment.
During my time at Kofa High School I have had the great opportunity to participate in many programs and volunteer projects with the help from my teachers and counselors. I joined AP classes to challenge my skills and abilities as a student throughtout the four years and joined HOSA and Skills-USA. I did countless volunteer hours for my Sports-Medicine program and Business Leadership Internship program as well. I would definitely return to this high school because of it's welcoming atmosphere from the teachers, counselors, and security. Moreover, the environment on camous is beautiful and shows the student's involvement in various clubs, for example, the mosaic tile made from ceramics 1 and 2 students with the help of the ceramic teacher and administration allowing the students to hang in front of the auditorium.
