My experience with Kirbyville High School has been for the most part great! I have had many wonderful college, leadership, and learning opportunities offered to me here. I have been able to earn a few college credits, tour colleges, become many types of leaders, take CNA classes and learn the ways of the world. However, there has been many times I wish there was a little more opportunities offered for more students to have a better understanding of how the world actually works; such as taxes and bills.

Kirbyville high school has a Most friendly, encouraging environment. The school has teachers, coaches, and other staff that pushes each student to excel. There are many programs put in place to help each student with their academic struggles(if they have them). Kirbyville high school offers college courses through Stephen F. Austin University to help give students a head start on life after high school.

Not only is there a wide variety of academic programs in place, there are an abundance of sports, and interest programs. Such as DECA, FCCLA, criminal justice program, theater, and more. Having these programs gives students a way to express themselves and there interest all in different unique ways.

Kirbyville high school provides a loving atmosphere. With teachers that have big hearts, and giving hearts. With coaches who push you to excel and become something with your talent I couldn’t imagine attending any other school, and there still being those encouraging voices.
There are many after-school activities. The most popular are sports, which includes fishing, tennis, football, volleyball, softball, baseball, golf, power-lifting, basketball, and track. Many other students participate in numerous UIL competitions. The teachers that sponsor these events offer after school practices. They work around the students other extra-curricular activities. There are many clubs that any student can join suck as FFA, FCCLA, Peer Help club, Chess club, Jazz band, and many more. The National Honors Society regularly takes trip to different towns and helps in community service projects. Each year we serve at banquets for several non-profit organizations. The teachers are very helpful to the students who are involved in many activities. They do expect a lot, but offer the help to get all the work done.
