My experience at KIPP Charlotte has been one that I will always be grateful for. The school opened my eyes to a lot of things, like public speaking and boarding schools. I was involved in probably every club there was in some way, shape, or form. The school has given me so much support and I am thankful. I think I would chose this school again if I could do it all over. KIPP Charlotte is a place that I knew I could excel there. I was the one who told my mom to get an application.

A Lot of teachers who worked at the school while I was there never taught in a classroom before. Most of them were from Teach For America. It took a bit of time for them to truly know what teaching styles worked best for them and for the students. I do believe that all of the teachers wanted to help and be better teachers but with the lack of funding and sometimes students that didn't want to be in school the job could be difficult.
There were very few clubs, that's why it was so easy for me to be in all of them. I am sure that a lot of teachers would have loved to start new groups but there wasn't always student interest or proper funding.
