I got into KIPP Academy Lynn when I was in 5th Grade because my older sister had already been in KIPP. When being in KIPP I learned a big difference between charter and public schools. Besides the uniform one big difference was the amount of attention given to each student because of how small the teacher to student ratio is. It’s a blessing yet unfortunate all at once, with being in a smaller knit school each student gets the amount of attentions needed yet it doesn’t always prepare all students for after high school because that same attention won’t always be there depending on what choices students decide to make after graduating. In all, my experience at KIPP was a blessing and a little tough but one things for sure is that KIPP is a family And will always be a family.
Kipp is a great school. The staff is always there to push you to do better and it becomes a second home. Every grade has a close bond with each other and teachers. The academics are great. Teachers will not let you fail! They will work with you to help you do better! College counselors are there to help with college starting junior year!
