My experience at Kiona Benton City High School well we can say it was both heaven and hell for me. I say this because i struggled my starting year as a freshman i didn't quite get everything as everyone else did but as the years passed i started to catch on. The teachers are all very great people and they can teach and help us all comprehend everything well. The academic learning is amazing they work with you at your own pace and help you as much as you need it. Overall through these four years of attending this school i have learned so much about who i am, and what i want to become in my journey afterwards.

The teachers at Kiona-Benton City High School are for the most part involved in their lessons. Since most of the curriculum is controlled by the state (Common Core), there isn't a lot that teachers can do to apply these topics to the outside world. Most likely less than 10% of people will use these actual teachings in their day to day lives no matter where they go. I believe in schools we should be using curriculum that will expand the minds of young students and help them become better people and harder workers in life. What is the point of teaching something if it is never going to be applied to a real life scenario? Most high school kids these days don't know basic things that you're going to have to know how to do once you graduate high school such as, writing checks, paying taxes, the fundamentals of cooking, how to sew, how to balance a check book, and various other skills that are needed in our fast pace world today. Most of the teachers at our high school are pretty good at communicating what our grade is to us, since our school is so small. They just received a new grading system this year that is much easier to use than last years and you can check your grade from almost anywhere and the gradebooks are updated more frequently.
Small classes great teachers and a family friendly environment, teachers prepared me for college, many resources to help me apply for colleges and scholarships as well as many college campus trips.
