All the teachers and staff were great! There was not anything I didn't like. If I emailed a counselor I would get a counselor response very quickly. If I needed an answer from the lady in the attendance office they answered very quickly. All the teachers there seemed to really love working with kids and answered emails very quickly and kept you up to date on what was going on in their classes every week. When covid happened they were overtime to make everything seem like it was the same even if you were just in regular day school, even though you were doing everything online they answered questions all day even at night had weekly if not daily videos for them to watch spoke to them one-on-one spoke to them in groups. My son never seem to get behind in any of his classes. They have great sport clubs and other clubs to be part of. And if you have a kid in athletics everything seem to always run very smoothly and they had everything very organized.
I loved everything KHS! The principle Dr.Nasra really cares about his students and actively participates in all parts of the school to show the students that he cares and that he wants to build a community. The teachers there work super hard to help their students and the community around the school always comes together to help the school like during Hurricane Harvey, Imelda, and during Covid-19. The school is also very safe with it's procedures, safety days, and the wonderful school police officers that ensure our safety. All the programs up at kingwood are very successful as well. Overall a fantastic school to have your children spend their high school years.
Kingwood High School has helped prepare me not only for college, but just as a functioning human in society. From their one-on-one conversations in the classroom, to having leading an large group of people, Kingwood High School provides the opportunity. With that being said, when asked what is your favorite thing about Kingwood High School I am quick to mention the opportunities given by teachers, coaches, and administration. I refer to the idea that if you truly want it, you will go after it with everything in your tank. Kingwood High School is a place that not only allows the opportunities, but encourages all students. I have had the chance to volunteer in many different areas of my school. Weather that is on the field, in a classroom, our behind the scenes, I am always one of the first to jump in. That takes me back to my first statement. Kingwood High School has taught me to be kind, caring, thoughtful, smart, determined, and the list of “go-getter” characteristics continues.
