I attended KO from sixth grade to my senior year of high school. Having graduated from college this past May, I continually look back at my time at KO and am filled with gratitude for having such a wonderful educational and social experience. KO offers a variety of classes, leadership opportunities, sports teams, clubs, and community service initiatives. There truly is something for every student at KO to get involved in. Such involvement allowed me to build strong relationships with both my peers, the school administration, and my teachers. What continues to make KO standout compared to other private schools in the area is the teacher-student relationships, and the teacher's academic expectations for their classes. Every department has their strong suits, but I can say without doubt that I was prepared to analyze text and write at a college level by the time I was a sophomore at KO. If you have the chance to get on campus, you should absolutely take advantage of it.

Average at best. One of my kids simply outgrew the school and they didn't have the courses to keep up with him. Example: they only offer multivariable calculus sporadically and then will only have no-experience newbie teaching it. No parent on-line portal to see how your kid is doing. Some KO teachers will update assignments/grades online, and others will not; mostly not. I complained when my kids weren't given their assignments until the evening before or on Sunday nite - this was done by 4 diff teachers! College counseling is HORRIBLE! We had to hire someone to help us with this. You'll pay 39K for this poor stepchild of a private school (no track or pool) where Bisgaard spends his time recruiting students from China. We discovered that a catholic school (we're not even catholic) was a better value and my kids aren't missing a thing from KO. Catholic school even lets my son attend a college course for free at U of H during the day!
The teachers are AMAZING, and the way the school is designed is great. But the students make school and unwelcoming, uncomfortable, and cliquey environment.
