Kingsley Area Schools has a very good learning environment and most if not all of the teachers try to help the students whenever they can. When I went to the high school last year a lot of students felt comfortable speaking to their teachers about their personal issues. Showing that the teachers care about the students’ well-being as well as their education. The teachers are strict but fun because they want all students to succeed and learn. I have three siblings that go to Kingsley Area Schools and they really enjoy it, they all have straight A’s and really care about their grades because the school shows the students how important grades are by rewarding them. One thing I would change in the high school is food, the high school food is very similar to other schools but it is not very good and does not seem as healthy as they portray it to be. Overall, Kingsley Area Schools is a great school that really makes you strive for excellence.

Support the debate club. When I chose to stay with my local public school instead of attending another much larger area school, it was with the understanding that they had a functional debate club. It turned out the club was defunct. After contacting the coach and recruiting classmates, we got the club started again. It was a constant struggle to continually raise funds for the competition. I learned a lot. Of course due to the lack of support from the school, we learned to debate the old fashioned way with paper files since we did not have access to laptop PCs either to practice with or take to debate competitions. I little financial support from the school system would have gone a long ways toward making it a viable learning experience for the students.
Overall, I love my school! I believe my high school has really prepared me for college with not only it's academics but with our block schedule, which I believe ensures that you get more out of each class and prepares you for more of a college setting.
