King High School Reviews
Rating 3.6 out of 5 278 reviews
I attended King High School all 4 years of my high school career. Throughout those 4 years I witnessed many negatives. The restroom facilities were always dirty and missing supplies, kids were in constant states of agitation with the staff, and the food was inedible. However, there were many positives that kept me in attendance. The teachers I had the privilege to encounter were phenomenal. I passed all of my in-school exams as well as most of my AP exams because of the techniques used by the teachers. Our calculus teacher has made the best of this pandemic, and in previous years has been accredited to the high pass rates of both Calculus AP exams. Every history teacher I've encountered has also been amazing, and I thank them for making high school bearable. Overall, I believe the pros outweigh the cons, and if I were given the choice to start over, I would attend King High School again.
The school isn't good or bad compared to the other schools in the area. There are small problems from time to time. Specifically; plumbing issues, bad smells, or fights that lead to lock downs. All in all, everyone stays light minded in these usually worrisome situations.
Being a Richard King Mustang was a great experience. With a bustling sports program and top notch band, school spirit was undeniable and infectious! There's teams, programs, and clubs for everyone, should you want to get involved in any way. The school could be improved by starting college preparedness as soon as freshman year rather than a few months before senior year ends.
