I've enjoyed my time at this school and I was able to accomplish many academic milestones. This school didn't provide many school spirited activities that engaged the study body. However, the administration does support students as best as they can and provide various academic opportunities that greatly benefits students. I wish that the school had a bigger socializing/lunch area and more engaging activities for students. Overall, I would say that this school has greatly benefited me and prepared me academically for higher learning.
Overall it is a good school! Most teachers are great and actually care about their students. The campus itself is small, but it is able to hold school-wide events. Most students are serious about learning and actually want to go to college.
My high school experience at King Drew Medical Magnet High School is a good experience so far. They have very supportive teachers, that will help achieve your goals. King Drew will help you stay on task, there is no slacking off of school work. King Drew classes helps prepare you for college. At my school, they have a careers program where we are able to experience different medical facilities and volunteer. My experience with the medical program was great. I gained a lot of skills while I was at Watts Health Care. In this careers program it helps you learn what it is like in the medical field and also gaining hands on experience. I was assigned to Podiatry. During my time in Podiatry, I learned all the treatments that Podiatrists do to help treat patients. I feel like King Drew offers so much opportunities, but it is up to us to take on that advantage.
