King/Drew is located in a nice quiet neighborhood in Compton, California where it's always sunny and bright. When the stereotype of living in Compton was dangerous King/Drew has transformed it into something beautiful.
As a successful 2017 Alumni, I have come to appreciate everything King/Drew taught me. From wearing the uniform and learning to be presentable to being ready for everything that might be thrown at you in life.
Being at King/Drew was a second home. Where the staff and administrators actually care about you and you're not just another student YOU ARE AN EAGLE.
King/Drew pushes you to become the best academically.
It is a place where culture is valued and race is no longer seen as a problem but rather seen as a unity.
King/Drew represents UNITY. It represents KINDNESS, PRODUCTIVITY, and most importantly it represents LOVE.
So if you're debating on going to this school I encourage you 100% to do so. No other school will ever give you what KING/DREW will give you.

King/Drew was initially a school I absolutely did not want to attend. But, I ended up loving it! King/Drew was opportunities for ALL of their students. It is a school you will want to get involved in. Even if you aren’t interested in the medicine and science field, such as myself, King/Drew still has something for you. I suggest anyone considering King/Drew should go!
If you're interested in actually attending college and have a set plan for the future, King/Drew Medical Magnet is the high school to be at. From my experience they start making college a priority the first year you attend. One of the downfalls of this school though is the security, there is no security guard at our school since administration thinks that we have a pretty safe environment. Finally, the students' in this school are very diverse and hard working, they make sure to include all cultures and often plan big events like Latin X that takes place in October. Latin X is a great assembly that has the main goal of teaching everyone in the school about our diverse Latin community. Things like these make the school very unique and an all together great high school experience.
