King/Drew Magnet High School is a very well organized school. I like how the teachers help the students improve themselves. King Drew has helped me become more responsible, organised, and haas helped me push my self harder. I gave King Drew four stars out of five because the school does have some flaws. Although King Drew's academics are the best, the school's building makes it hard for students. Students in King Drew have to climb many stairs which is very inconvenient since the students get tired from learning many advanced subjects everyday. Hopefully the administrators will try to solve the stair situation in the school.

As a student in the upcoming graduating class of 2020, I have experienced many obstacles and challenges while attending King Drew. Coming from a different middle school setting where majority of the students lived in low-income communities and entering a prestige and rigorous school of diversity has changed my life overall. I have learned to work with others who look and are different from me. This setting changed has shaped me into the young woman that I strive to be. Understanding that education is important and self confidence is as well. King Drew has enforced both to be the key to success and a happy life after high school.
King/Drew is located in a nice quiet neighborhood in Compton, California where it's always sunny and bright. When the stereotype of living in Compton was dangerous King/Drew has transformed it into something beautiful.
As a successful 2017 Alumni, I have come to appreciate everything King/Drew taught me. From wearing the uniform and learning to be presentable to being ready for everything that might be thrown at you in life.
Being at King/Drew was a second home. Where the staff and administrators actually care about you and you're not just another student YOU ARE AN EAGLE.
King/Drew pushes you to become the best academically.
It is a place where culture is valued and race is no longer seen as a problem but rather seen as a unity.
King/Drew represents UNITY. It represents KINDNESS, PRODUCTIVITY, and most importantly it represents LOVE.
So if you're debating on going to this school I encourage you 100% to do so. No other school will ever give you what KING/DREW will give you.
