I love my School! The past 4 years have been a blur but in a good way. Kinder High created a fun learning environment and a safe place for me. KHS offers any senior student to enroll at Sowela Technical Community College and take college classes for free. They are also partnering up with Northwestern State University and allowing high school juniors to work on their associate's degree while in school! The positivity and genuine care for their students really show. I would 100% recomend Kinder High School to anyone who want their kid to succeed!
Kinder High School is a small town school located in Louisiana. During my 4 years here, I've had excellent teachers who were always ready to assist me in any way needed. The administration here really does have your back, and they do listen. The only complaint I have is the lack of student expression. Uniforms are a part of our daily attire, and the dress code is strict on hoodie designs so there's a real sense of lack of self-expression. Other than that it is a good school.
Kinder High School is a decent size...there are many problems with the building itself. The bathrooms are not air conditioned; the unused lockers take up space; the classroom doors open the wrong way; the hallways are nasty. However, Kinder High is currently going under remodeling on certain parts of the school as well as building a new gym. The cafeteria is nice and serves decent food which most meals are good to eat. The library is the cleanest part of the school and is quite nice. However, Kinder is a sports oriented school and I will never understand why they choose to build a new gym when other simple needs such as technology and bathroom facilities needed to be attended to. The principal, Mrs. Melody, does an outstanding job and is always there to help us with anything. However, majority of the teachers at Kinder are not the greatest. There are some teachers that do a excellent job with their teaching skills and I will remember those who gave it their all.
