Throughout my years at key west high school I have always been able to succeed, prosper, and grow. I joined the varsity dance team my freshman year and have continued being on the team and becoming an Officer my senior year, along with joining the JV softball team my freshman and sophomore year. Every year I constantly make new memories and new friend, and guarantee there is never a dull moment at this school, you never know what kind activities will be thrown at us but everyone always ends up having a great time, especially at our hometown football games, from the football players playing, to the cheerleaders and dancers preforming and everyone coming together cheering on our team.
Key West High School is a very high-spirited school, but it lacks some initiative when it comes to academics and opportunities. I would like to see the administration go out of their way to bring more opportunities to Key West, such as out-of-state college resources and awards.
Key West High School is very unique. It has a culturally diverse and accepting population. The teachers and staff are also very supportive and work hard at their jobs . They help ensure our schools safety and guide students along the path of sucess. It's administration also effectively monitors the students and provides a variety of programs to keep them occupied. I personally have had the pleasure in participating in one of Key West High Schools extracurricular activities. I joined the girls lacrosse team and developed a love for the sport. My coach not only taught us how to play, but what it meant to be a family and a team.
