If you are looking for a school that will help your child grow into a critical thinker, problem solver, environmental steward, and kind citizen… Key is the school for you! Key offers a challenging learning environment that is a blend of classroom and experiential learning. There are many schools in this area that claim to have excellent academics but the instruction is lecture/memorization. The Key School values deep thinking and communication. Students learn to listen to a diverse range of thought and contribute meaningfully to the dialogue. The teachers are amazing and care deeply for the children. The outdoor education program has challenged our children and helped build their confidence. They have gone places and done things they could never do outside of Key. In addition to the excellent academics and outdoor education program, the Key school fosters a community of kind and caring young people. Our children have made many friends and are truly happy at Key.

Our Middle School son has been at Key since Kindergarten and we absolutely love everything about the school. The education he is getting is top notch, the teachers are all wonderful and caring, the diversity is unparalleled, and the new Fusco Athletic Park is amazing. Our favorite thing about Key is the way they approach learning in an interdisciplinary way. Life doesn't exist in constrained "boxes" and neither should learning if we really want our kids prepared to lead productive lives after school! I would highly recommend Key to anyone in the Annapolis area!
Key School has prepared me to enter the world as a driven, outspoken individual. I am so lucky to have been able to attend Key School, because they develop your critical thinking skills and equip you with the skills needed to enter college/society without fear. I am confident that I will enter the next chapter of my life with ease thanks to the education that Key School has given me. In the future, though, I hope to see Key School pay better attention to the needs of its students in terms of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). Students at Key School would receive a more well-rounded education if it included more history of minority groups not told through the lens of white Europe and America.
