If you are looking for a school that will help your child grow into a critical thinker, problem solver, environmental steward, and kind citizen… Key is the school for you! Key offers a challenging learning environment that is a blend of classroom and experiential learning. There are many schools in this area that claim to have excellent academics but the instruction is lecture/memorization. The Key School values deep thinking and communication. Students learn to listen to a diverse range of thought and contribute meaningfully to the dialogue. The teachers are amazing and care deeply for the children. The outdoor education program has challenged our children and helped build their confidence. They have gone places and done things they could never do outside of Key. In addition to the excellent academics and outdoor education program, the Key school fosters a community of kind and caring young people. Our children have made many friends and are truly happy at Key.

Love this school! As a parent, I cannot think of a better group of adults to partner with in raising and educating my child. The school teaches kids how to think, how to assess, how to work together, and how to listen to one another -- even when opinions differ. They are expected to think deeply and defend their assertions with fact. With all this they still have fun learning and feel supported by their teachers.
From a nurturing environment with teachers that truly care about students and their education, to a beautiful campus in historical Annapolis, Key School has a lot to offer students! Attending Key was a great decision and I am so fortunate to have graduated from this institution. The lessons I learned at Key- inside the classroom, at sports practices, and on the camping trips- have proved invaluable to me as I navigate my new adult life!
