Keota is an absolutely amazing and supportive community to grow up in. Having a small class, you get to know everyone so well and build personal connections with classmates and teachers. While there are several outstanding teachers at this school, there are also a few who could definitely improve. Most classes at Keota allow you to get out of it what you want. For me, I wanted to learn and expand my knowledge so I did. Other students did not, and some teachers were okay with that. These teachers that did this did not push their students to excel. The good teachers at this school are amazing and so helpful, but there is a large gap between the good and the bad. While it is an amazing place to grow up, the high school could definitely push students further and hold them to higher expectations. It is such a great place, and it is a shame that a few teachers are able to give the school a bad reputation in many students' eyes.

Great school environment. The teachers really care about the students and they truly want them to succeed.
Keota use to be a top notch school. Teachers were very knowledgeable on subject matter. As the school has had a decrease in enrollment we have seen more classes going to online classes, especially in the sciences. Expectations are not as high and there is more cheating in the online classes as they are not monitored closely. The elementary is still a great learning environment. There has not been as much turn over in staff but the school is making poor decisions of increasing class size to save money. Some classes have 25-30 students in a class.
