I enjoyed the science programs at Kent Island High School. They taught by excellent teachers who really valued student learning. I wish there was more emphasis placed on helping students who had domestic violence in their homes. By teaching about domestic violence and having a better support service through counseling, a lot of students I knew would have benefitted from this.

The teachers and staff are very friendly and the environment is very welcoming! There are many class options and the teachers are more than willing to help students after school with extra help. There are many sports teams and clubs to choose from and many resources for students.
What I enjoyed about Kent Island High School was that there was always someone pushing me to do my best. I felt like I was in a great environment to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I am going into what some may say is a non-traditional career path, and faculty and staff seemed very supportive and made sure I had the necessary tools and knowledge to pursue my dream career. Though, what really made me love my high school were the clubs. You can literally feel how passionate the teachers are that advise our clubs, and that truly made an enormous difference. Having the guidance of someone who is just as interested in something as you are makes the experience ten times more enriching.
