Kent County High School Reviews
Rating 3.36 out of 5 129 reviews
All in all Kent County Public Schools are average. It's about what you'd expect from a rural school district. The entire county goes to one school making bus rides long, and school days even longer. The administration has had a recently high turnover rate making it hard to establish connections. Because its so small there aren't a whole lot of unique opportunities for students to pursue what they're passionate about. And it doesn't do the best job at providing the stepping stone needed to transfer into college. It's not the worst school by a long shot, but there's nothing that particularly makes it stand out as above the rest.
The teachers are great, and the class sizes are pretty average. Students fight a lot but the admin take care of any altercations. Had issues with mice in the past but they weren't very big. Very safe and janitors clean up very good. People are nice and lots of smart kids, some kids have already given up and cause problems. The office staff are very nice and welcoming when you enter. Definitely recommend the music program!
I liked the teachers, most of them are very helpful and supportive. I liked our after school activities and the diversity around the school. Some of the things i’d like to see change is the environment in the building and more diversity in staff to help with those who speak different languages or connect better with others.
