My experience at Kenowa Hills High School was very well-seen-to if you see what I mean. The teachers are all very hardworking and will challenge you to do your best while being kind and supportive as well. There's a little something for everyone at Kenowa from our equestrian team, lacrosse tournaments, classes like Film as Lit, Ceramics, and KCTC to our clubs such as D+D and our wonderful theatre/drama program! The food is GREAT and affordable. My favorite thing about Kenowa, though, is that you can be yourself without fear of being judged because everyone is different here, and it doesn't stop us from making deep connections with one another! :)
Honestly, enroll anywhere else. While I have had good experiences and teachers at KHHS, the hassle of dealing with the administration isn't worth your time. There are exactly 11 AP classes available (Calculus AB & BC, French, Spanish, Bio, Chem, APUSH, US Government, Psychology, English Literature, and English Language), and very few teachers/administrative actually put the students & their well-being first, as they constantly claim to do; most teachers just do it for the paycheck. There's only one female counselor, and good luck getting an appointment to see her unless you're a "high risk" student. The administration is uncooperative, hypocritical of their own rules, and overall just stress-inducing. There's a serious drug/vaping problem, and it's so bad that at sporting events (except football, the golden child of the athletic department), they call us "School of Juul".
it was an okay school, the teachers were amazing, but the students on the other hand… the school does nothing to “punish” kids, they let kids get away with anything. This creates a toxic environment for the children, however the staff is super nice and well taught!
