The teachers at our high school are all in! They continually go above and beyond to ensure that all students maximize their potential. They are available prior to and after school on a regular basis. They engage students with lessons which are designed using the latest technology. Furthermore, they develop relationships with students which lead to a sense of community which runs throughout the school.
Review Kennett High School
My biggest problem is The new Director of Special Education. I found her loud, dismissive, refusing to hear me out and acknowledging another staff member rather than myself. She laughed at inappropriate times and basically washed the districts hands of our son who is still a junior. She left our meeting without even looking at me to say goodbye or anything friendly, She was abrasive and off putting. Otherwise KCSD is a fabulous District. Not perfect but no human beings are. They have helped our son progress form being echolalic to possibly attend college in 2017 with a 4.0. grade average Too many awesome teachers to list. Very knowlegeable and approachable administrators except for the above mentioned. Excellent atmosphere for students who might otherwise be bullied. Safe and calm, no fighting or out of control young people. Diverse and respectful. Suspect a slight bias towards families lower on the socio-ecomomic scale when it comes to Spec Ed services.
My experience here at KHS has been nothing less than amazing. My time spent here has definitely been put to good use. Im involved in FCCLA, Spanish Club, Art Club, Choir, and more. This district encourages each and every student to be involved and ensure that no one is left behind. We have pride and support in what we do and expect to give each and every day out all no matter how we feel that day. Above all, KHS is where I found myself. I love this school and everyone in it.
