Time really flies when you’re in high school, that’s why I appreciated every moment of this school. The teachers really want to see you succeed along with helping you get there! Although this is the case, I’d love to see more clubs and groups for all kinds of students!
Honestly, I really liked my high school even though I currently take PSEO courses at a community college. One of the reasons Kennedy is great is because they give you so many options. You can take honors, AP, and PSEO at numerous institutions. I always thought it was a great place. I enjoyed all of my teachers, they are all kind and care that you understand the material they teach. Even during the struggles of online learning, I had access to as much help as I needed. After online learning ended they gave more online course options during registration for the following year. Overall, Kennedy is a very diverse school. Everyone can find a group or club they enjoy and find new friends with similar interests. When I was a freshman I came in with no close friends and now I have joined 3 clubs as well as a sport. Even as a PSEO student I still participate in these clubs after school because of how much I enjoy them. It truly is a nice place and I genuinely miss walking the halls.
The majority of the teachers are kind, helpful, and actually work quite hard to teach and engage their students. I had a lot of fun learning there over the years, and I usually felt like I was doing worthwhile classwork. The food is okay, nothing to rave on about. The classrooms are clean, uncluttered, and fairly comfortable to be in (they all have air conditioning and heat!), though there are a few of them with writing on the desks. My peers tended to be hardworking and intelligent, and if not that, then at the very least, respectful. There were small disagreements here and there between students, obviously, but they were usually pretty minor and basically happened only once a year. Overall, a decent, commendably inclusive school compared to most high schools, I'd say.
